What attracted you to the recruitment sector?

Like most people, getting into recruitment was by chance. The sector has grown so much it is now a serious profession that people actually plan to do.

What advice would you give to Consultants starting their recruitment career?

Consistency is key, find a market you enjoy and stick to it wherever possible. Track record and in depth knowledge of your sector and the people in it will be invaluable in years to come. Find your own style but imitate successful consultants in your own company.

What’s the greatest challenge facing your business now?

In order to grow the business we are constantly searching for high calibre recruitment individuals. We are confident that we can develop their careers, remunerate them very well and maintain the challenge for them, but we need to get them through the door first.

What’s your worst habit and how have you overcome it?

I am very impatient. I haven’t mastered overcoming it yet.

What’s your greatest financial indulgence?

My family.

What do you drive?

To work, it’s a Vespa GTS 250.

What time do you start work?

7am.

What gadget can’t you live without?

I’m afraid it’s my Blackberry.

How do you relax?

Fine wine helps.
