Bad practitioners are "tarnishing" recruitment to recruitment sector

Bad practitioners are "tarnishing" the reputation of the recruitment to recruitment sector it has been claimed.
Zena Everett, managing director of Perriam & Everett, said: "Headhunting needs to be done with integrity and intelligently. Our sector should be leading standards within recruitment as a whole but reputations are being damaged by bad practices.
"If some companies headhunt indiscriminately, they will eventually go out of business because they do not add value."
Indeed, Ms Everett cited the problems Perriam & Everett is facing in Manchester where it opened a new office there. "We've had calls from companies who just haven't done their research properly. It's very annoying and time-wasting."
She also had a warning for clients and candidates. "I think that clients interviewing candidates via some recruitment to recruitment companies should be careful, can they really deliver the quality of candidates they say they can? We find that we are often cleaning the mess left by others.
"It's the same for the candidate too. Are they really being told everything they need to know about the company? A bad career move can be very damaging."
