Recruiter - 2008-04-30

We need to tell our stories better. We need to celebrate our successes. We need to better sell the great things we do as an industry. And the quest to find the best possible recruiters to join our agencies must begin by installing the sharpest and most vigorous staff in internal recruitment roles.

Recruiter Zena Everett last week urged an audience of fellow recruiters to keep those thoughts uppermost in mind, as the drive intensifies the business to grow for maximum success. It is a paradox that recruiters encounter the greatest difficulty in recruiting their own staff but Everett suggests that the pursuit of great talent for our own business cannot be left in the hands of the gods.

The word must go out to potential recruits about the great things recruiters do for business, and the amazing. life-changing successes recruiters bring about through the course of their work. Some serious trumpet-blowing is in order here, for the good of the industry and to bring in enthusiastic, passionate talent. If recruiters don't do it for themselves, who will?
